Are you into setting yourself goals, dreams, and habits ? Habits are a good way to find something you enjoy and grow in it, while making sure you benefit and make the best use of your time and effort. There are a lot of different habits and activities you could do, so you will not feel limited in your choice and you could actually even come up with your own habit.

A habit is something you do over and over again and may be hard to give up. This is why it is something you define according to what you like and not like and is something you could be passionate to some degree about, as it is something you set.

Here are 3 habits that make people feel good about themselves:

1. Reading

Reading is one common thing that a lot of people do in their free time. Do you indulge and engage in reading? Do you think it is a good pastime? Well, we see people read while biking, in the plane, waiting for their turn for an appointment somewhere, and in many other places. The good thing about reading is that is something that may be done regardless of the place, as long as you have some free time at your disposal.

Now, reading can make you feel good about yourself, because not only are you making good use of your time, but also you are learning and educating yourself with new words and bettering your language. Start involving reading in your life and watch the difference. If for some reason, you are not in favor of it, just go back to your old life.

2. Exercising

Do you have the habit of exercising to better your health and stay fit ? If not, start going to the gym, jogging around the house, or even do some morning exercises right at home. This is a habit that many people are proud of and that make them feel good about themselves, both physically and mentally. With all the temptations in life today, such as junk food; different electronics, and so forth it is really important to step off that couch and start taking care of yourself. It is not going to be hard, but set yourself small goals at a time.

3. Listening More Than Talking

Do you know about the 80% / 20% rule of communication? Are you an individual that takes care when in a conversation, pays attention, and listens more than talk ? The rule mentioned states that we should listen 80% of the time and talk only a surprising 20% of the time. If you believe that everything happens for a reason, then think about why we are born with two ears and only one mouth. This is because we need to listen more than we talk; this makes communication much easier and effective and people implementing such a habit feel good about themselves because they have better communication with others and people appreciate someone they can talk to and get their point across.

In conclusion, there are countless habits that one can have and feel amazing about and take pride in, but make sure you implement habits that suit you and work for you. Start piling up good habits and start feeling good about yourself.

What habits do you take pride in?
