A historic uprising against police brutality in the city has seen the arrest of nearly 2,000 people, including me.

And nearly 7% of the police force was out sick on Monday. The police commissioner has warned that officers will "without a doubt, suffer."
False rumors have circulated wildly about drastic measures to stop the outbreak.
