Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed a restrictive new voting bill into law late Thursday, just hours after it passed the GOP-led legislature.
Both parties have agreed to changes that voting rights advocates in the Bluegrass State have been fighting for for years.
"The only connection that we can find is that more people of color voted, and it changed the outcome of elections in a direction that Republicans do not like."
The former president voted by mail in a municipal election in Palm Beach County, Florida.
The case comes as Republicans in some states are pursuing new restrictions after Trump made false claims of widespread voter fraud.
