Dr. Madhavi Colton is a Program Director at the Coral Reef Alliance where she leads science-based conservation initiatives that help coral reefs cope with climate change. Throughout her career, Madhavi has worked to make science relevant to conservation, management and policy. She has built partnerships between academic researchers, conservation organizations, and governments to implement durable marine conservation initiatives in California, Hawaii, the Mesoamerican Region, Indonesia, Fiji, and Australia. She has a Ph.D. in Marine Ecology from the University of Melbourne and has the dubious distinction of being the world expert on Treefish, whichbefore you askdo not live in trees.
