Elizabeth Crowell was born and raised in NJ and received her A.B. in English literature from Smith College in 1986 and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Columbia University in 1991. She has spent most of her professional life teaching English literature and writing to high schoolers. Currently, she is a stay-at-home mom, writer, and cancer fighter.
