Donald Trumps inability to secure the $464 million bond he needs to appeal his civil fraud conviction is bad for him, but its apparently good news for snarky people on X, formerly Twitter.
Thats because Mondays announcement by Trumps lawyers that securing the money is a practical impossibility had a big impact on the platform, and caused the hashtag #TrumpIsBroke to go viral.
And, yes, there was much mockery.
Trumps hate rallies are smaller than four years ago.

Trumps small donors are fewer than four years ago.
Trumps large donors are fewer than four years ago.

Some people jokingly warned others not to share the hashtag since it might anger the former president.
Whatever you do, dont post the hashtag #TrumpIsBroke . It would really piss him off to see it trending. https://t.co/1sXY7i3Tm8

Donald Trump cant afford to post his $464M bond. If he cant pay it by Monday. Letitia James will start seizing his assets.
Karma is a bitch, and I love it when she shows up. pic.twitter.com/7q3tQGuLRG
But some people didnt think #TrumpIsBroke was harsh enough, and that caused a variant hashtag #TrumpIsBrokeAF to also trend.
I made this meme a while ago but everyone is allowed to use it as much as they want #MAGAMeltdown #TrumpIsACriminal #TrumpIsBrokeAF pic.twitter.com/BImuUbfKPg

When you dont have the money to pay your court ordered fines, they seize your assets. It happened to country singer Willie Nelson. No one is above the law. Neither is Trump#TrumpIsBrokeAF pic.twitter.com/zDblaLK5Zf
